Is there anything I can't do after my appointment?
We recommend that you don't do intense exercise straight, drink alcohol or go to a sauna straight after your appointment.
Does acupuncture hurt?
It's a big misconception that acupuncture hurts! The needles are a lot thinner than injection needles and you will only feel a prick. If the needles are painful at any point the practitioner will remove them.
What hygiene precautions do we take?
We adhere to the strict regulatory health and safety precautions. This includes single-use needles, disinfecting the bed between each patient and single-use couch roll.
How do I know which practitioner to book?
All of our practitioners are listed on our about page, including their qualifications, areas of expertise and which location they work in. If you have any other questions you can email or call us.
Can I go to a different practitioner or location?
Yes! All the practitioner notes are digital so even if you go to a different practitioner or location, the practitioner will be able to continue the treatment plan carried out by the previous practitioner.
Which appointment should I book?
If it's your first time at Pricc, we recommend you book the 45 minute initial appointment so that there is time for a health consultation at the beginning. If you are booking a follow-up appointment, we recommend 45 or 60 minutes for a more in-depth treatment, or 30 minutes if you are a regular or just coming for relaxation.
What happens in an initial appointment?
The initial appointment starts with a health consultation to go over your health history and why you're coming in. After a tongue and pulse check the practitioner will then give you the treatment and afterwards provide a recommended treatment plan.
How do I know which practitioner I saw last time?
You can see who your practitioner was last time by logging into your account. Or if you prefer you can call or email us and we will be happy to look it up!
What qualifications do your practitioners have?
All of our practitioners have a 3 or 4 year degree in TCM, additional diplomas in fertility, pain or oncology, and at least 3 years of clinical experience before joining Pricc.
What add-ons do we offer?
We offer ear seeds, cupping and LED light therapy as add-ons to acupuncture treatments. The add-ons do not add any time to the treatment.
